Background:
Henley is a 'smallish, rather dilapidated' rural primary school which was founded in 1890. The 'extremely successful' school teaches a 'wide range' of pupils with differing social, emotional, educational and physical needs, and Ms Leeke was introduced to Prince Charles in her capacity as the head of one of the top 100 schools in the country. The school takes pride in its sporting achievements and regularly offers a wide range of extra-curricular clubs which currently includes football, netball, French, computers, jump-rope and dance. Music and drama are supported through Christmas and summer productions. There are strong links with the local pre-school and wider community and a local charity is supported every year.
