Background:
Sandlings Primary School was a new school established in January 1995 to provide education predominantly for the children of Army personnel moving into the army housing base outside Woodbridge. The school was initially an American elementary school. The building is very spacious compared to most primary schools. It has developed a strong sporting tradition with teams regularly competing in netball, football, swimming and athletics events. There are eight spacious classrooms within the main building of the school and all have both external and internal access. The national curriculum covers the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, design and technology, history, geography, religious education, art and design, sex education, physical education and personal, social and health education and information and communication technology. The school aims to create a secure and structured environment in which children take the first steps towards understanding themselves, developing relationships with others and learning about the world in which they live.
