Background:
Otley is a very small rural primary school. The school's building date back to about 1912 but have been modernised and extended in 2003. The new extension comprises an early years classroom, administration and staff areas and kitchen. In addition a secure early years play area has been established. The school also has a large playing field attached to the school. A number of extra-curricular activities are organised for the children. Clubs that may be held include recorder, musical instruments, art, football, hockey, short tennis and environment. The school has a number of links with the community that are designed to strengthen and extend the curriculum. During the year the children may visit Otley Church and Otley Hall. The school aims to provide high quality primary education in a caring and stimulating environment, offering equal opportunities to all and enabling the children to realise their full potential.
