Background:
Clare Middle School is a secondary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is nine to 13. The school was designed in 1955 as a secondary modern school. Its building is attractively situated on the edge of Clare, surrounded by extensive playing fields, playgrounds, gardens, basketball and tennis courts. The school has a well-equipped library, gymnasium; outdoor play areas, swimming pool, art and design studio, technology workshop, food and fabric technology and an ICT. The school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: football, netball, rugby, cricket, basketball, tennis, volleyball and hockey. It also provides a variety of opportunities including: dance, swimming and gymnastics. The school provides lunchtime and after-school activities. The school aims to help its pupils to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a fast changing world.
