Background:
Kersey Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is co-educational and caters for pupils from four to 11 years old. It occupies a traditional Victorian school building and schoolhouse comprising a Key Stage 1 teaching area, and two Key Stage 2 teaching areas. One of these is situated in the old schoolhouse. Above this classroom is a resource/group teaching room, the head teacher's office and a staffroom. Outside there is a hard playing area with an adventure climbing frame and a quiet seating area. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include gymnastics, athletics, dance, swimming, football, netball and other outdoor pursuits. The school aims to provide a secure and caring environment in which children gain confidence both academically and socially.
