Background:
Worlingworth Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School was opened in 1876 founded with a gift of land from the Church of England. The school is a traditional red Victorian building that has been completely refurbished and redecorated in the past two years with the addition in summer 2003 of two new classrooms and the conversion of an existing classroom into a much needed administrative and small teaching group space. Outside, the school has a large tarmac playground supplemented by a big adventure playground area and a delightful school meadow. The school offers lunchtime and after-school clubs including recorders, computer club, computer games, typing, sports club, drama, art, tap dancing and cookery. The school has excellent links with both Church and community being involved regularly with both seasonal and individual events. The school aims to create a stimulating environment where pupils are happy and confident learners.
